Evelyne Chevignon, head of Le Petit Baigneur, has pursued a career in line with her principals and objectives.
She took over the brand in 2015, her objective has been refocus the company
on its original DNA : A creative French brand set around knitted products in a seaside atmosphere.
At the age of 20 you graduated from the prestigious university La Martiniere with a stylist and designer diploma and today you are the CEO of Le Petit Baigneur, tell us about your career :
Born in Roanne, the capital of knitting, I built my career in the textile industry of the city. In 2008 I founded my company, Envol, producing and distributing knitted garments to well-known brand names.
In 2010 I began lecturing at the University of fashion in Lyon.
In 2015, I took over Le Petit Baigneur which had been on the market since 1992.
What were your motivations ?
For me, the crowning achievement of my career was running a brand name Il could identify with. I wanted to improve the line and give it a breath of fresh air. I wanted to design great quality clothing that was elegant and seductive. Clothing I would be proud to wear.
What are your brand’s assets ?
We are known by our customers as a brand which strives for quality and perfection. All our garments are exclusive designs resulting from a thorough research and are always reasonably priced to provide great value for money. They allow multiple combinations. Of course, our customer service starts at the beginning of the design process and ends with shipping. Thanks to this approach we can offer tailor made solutions that meet our customers demands.
Today, what is your objective?
To strengthen our brand image through the visual identity and to improve our social media presence. We want to keep developing withing the French market and also expand and confirm our international presence. I want to develop the distribution networks and become a big international brand.
What is your core target ?
An open-minded, spontaneous, cheerful woman. She likes to make her own look by mixing and matching garments to create a look which matches her mood that day. She is elegant, has a natural style and keeps an emotional link with her clothes.
